SEVEN PEARLS
On April 30, 2925, the Russian Embassy in Yemen issued a statement confirming that the 'Seven Pearls' was at the Ras Isa anchorage during the US attacks ion the Port on April 17/18. The vessel suffered minor damage during the bombing. The Embassy said that one crew member was taken to a hospital and required complex eye surgery, while two other Russian citizens were slightly injured, but in stable condition. 19 Russian crew members remained aboard the ship. The ship’s owner was working to evacuate the injured seafarers and remove the ship from Yemen.

On April 10, 2025, the 'Ocean Adventurer' was detained in Caen with five deficiencies, two of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Safety of navigation - Voyage data recorder Inoperative 2) ISM - Ism certificate Not as required The vessel was released again on April 16 and left the port en route to El Astillero.

The 'Isla De Bioko', loaded with urea, was in collision with the barges towed by the tug 'Ginny Rose' on April 27, 2025 at 9.20 p.m. The collision led to one barge sinking and six others going adrift, while sailing downstream on the Mississippi River from St. Rose, Louisiana. The conditions on the river were harsh and challenging at the time of the accident. After receiving news of the collision, the Coast Guard immediately mobilized local assisting tugs, which managed to successfully recover four of the barges, but two of them became fouled in the anchor chains of the 'Red Fin' and 'Bulker Bee 30'. The section near the collision site was temporarily closed off by the Coast Guard while crews assessed whether it was safe to traverse given the sunken barge. On April 28, after the depth of the sunken barge was deemed safe for other vessels and the last two barges were recovered, the channel was reopened, albeit with restrictions. An investigation has been opened into the matter, and salvage plans were being drawn up for the sunken barge.
MAERSK SANA
Maersk has confirmed there was an incident aboard the 'Maersk Sana' in the Atlantic on April 28, that injured three crew members and has left the ship drifting while teams worked to identify operational contingencies. One crew member was in critical but stable condition in a hospital in Bermuda, while two others were treated for their injuries. The 'Maersk Sana' had departed Newark, New Jersey on April 26, bound for Singapore, and machinery related issues in the main engine room, leaving it adrift approximately 354 nautical miles east of Bermuda. SILVER BIRD S449
On the evening of May 1, 2025, the lifeboat of the Hirtshals Rescue Station assisted during the towing of the Silver Bird S 449', which earlier in the day had got its fishing gear stuck in the propeller and therefore needed assistance to get into port. Since the lifeboat 'Margrethe Gaardbo' is currently in the shipyard, the colleagues from Skagen Rescue Station stepped in. With the lifeboat 'Lars Kruse' they took over the towing, after having left Skagen already at 11 a.m. When the 'Lars Kruse' and the 'Silver Bird'approached Hirtshals Harbour, the 'FRB 14' got a line over the stern of the trawler and assisted in towing the last stretch safely to the quay.
FCN ADVENTURE
The ' Fjordcharter Adventure' got stuck on a sandbank at Nordfjordeid in Vestland County on April 29, 2025, at 6 p.m. The company that owns the catamaran believed that the side propellers of the cruise ship 'Aidnova' pushed the catamaran onto the sandbank. No one was injured. The catamaran was not damaged either and waiting for the tide to return so that they can get off the sandbank. The catamaran was towed off the sandbank by a small vessel after a few hours. There were no passengers on board the catamaran, only crew. At 2.30 p.m the ship initally notified the MRCC in Bremen, after the 'Trabant' was disabled with an engine damage in the Bight of Neustadt off Sierksdorf. The lifeboat 'Heinrich Wuppesahl' was deployed to the scene. The 'Trabant' meanwhile reported water ingress, but managed to proceed to the mother ship, secured by the lifeboat, when the medical emergency occurred on the ' Aquanaut'. After initial treatment, the patient was embarked onto the ' Heinrich Wuppesahl' And transferred to Neustadt, where the shore based rescue service was waiting. GLENGYLE
The Vietnamese authorities have still not found an explanation for the collision on the Long Tau River, near Ho Chi Minh City, after which the' Gkengyle' has partially sunk, but no one has been injured. The bulk carrier was loaded with gypsum. The water ingress occurred in the engine room, while the cargo was unharmed. In connection with the collision, a large amount of fuel has spilled into the river, and the authorities are currently trying to contain the pollution as best as possible.

The 'St. Oslo' was being detained in the port of Ras Isa, awaiting permission to depart from the Yemini port authorities. The ship was reported to have 17 Turkish crew members aboard and remained anchored as of May 1, 2025.
CEMENT TRADER
On the morning of May 1, 2025, the 'Cement Trader', en route from Setubal to Terneuzen, ran aground just before the entrance of the Western foreport with a draft of 07.10 metres. The tugs 'Multratug 16' and 'Multratug 13' as well as the 'VB Triumphe' and the 'Patrol' were on scene soon after and managed to refloated the ship, which was then moored at the poles in the Western foreport of Terneuzen for inspections.
