On the early morning of July 2, the Port Authority of Patmos was informed about the injury of a 72-year-old passenger of the 'Blue Star 2'. The man slipped and fell from the ship's stairs, resulting in his facial injury. The injured man disembarked from the ship at the port of Patmos, where an ambulance had arrived, but due to the lack of a doctor at the Patmos Health Center, he reboarded the ship and continued his journey to the port of Piraeus, under the supervision of a doctor who was on board. Instead, he allegedly steered the 'Hafnia Nile'. when he had not been directed to do so, and failed to keep a proper lookout. As a result of this failure, the vessel collided with the 'Ceres I'- The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore has brought the prosecution cases against the two men. If found guilty, the men can each be jailed for up to two years, fined up to SGD 50,000 or both.

As the 'Stena Adventurer' makes her way to Fishguard on Dec 11, Stena Line has now cancelled sailings to/from Holyhead up until the departure from Dublin on the afternoon of Dec 12. Irish Ferries have, so far, also cancelled all sailings on Dec 11. A 37-year-old forklift driver was hospitalized after a stack of containers toppled onto his vehicle at Singapore’s Pasir Panjang Terminal on Nov 25, 2024, at around 6:40 a.m. at the terminal’s older facility. The accident happened when the forklift, operated by the 37-year-old man, was moving a container. As the forklift reversed, a column of five stacked containers became unstable and collapsed. The top container fell directly onto the forklift’s cabin, tilting it backwards and causing the driver to fall to the ground. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was informed about the incident at 6:55 a.m. Emergency responders quickly arrived on-site and transferred the conscious worker to the National University Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) as owner of the 'MSC Elsa 3' has informed the Kerala high court that no significant pollution or environmental damage has been caused by the incident so far. The light oil sheen initially observed around the vessel's location was promptly contained, and it has since dispersed. All accessible vents and sounding pipes from which oil could potentially escape have been capped. Therefore, at present, there was no imminent threat of an oil spill, environmental damage, or any related consequences. These submissions were in response to petitions filed by the former MP T N Prathapan and others, seeking comprehensive compensation and rehabilitation for fishermen and other stakeholders affected by the incident. A statement has been released by the police after a father jumped overboard to save his five-year-old daughter who hadd fallen from the 'Disney Dream' near the Bahamas. Authorities have been investigating the incident, the Broward County Sheriff's Office has confirmed. The fall occurred while the ship was docked at Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in Bannerman Town: “The Disney crew was well prepared. Ferry services have been cancelled between Holyhead and Dublin following the storm Darragh. The Irish Ferries and Stena Line websites were showing major disruption to services on Dec 9, 2024, and Dec 10. On June 29, 2025, a five year old girl fell overboard from deck 4 of the 'Disney Dream' between the Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale, while the ship was returning to Fort Lauderdale from a four-night Bahamian sailing, including a stop at Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Her father jumped right after her. The emergency code “Mr. M.O.B.” (man overboard) rang out over the ship’s intercom, signaling an urgent response. The ship stopped and turned around. Crew members launched life preservers and four men deployed an MOB at port side within 10 minutes. The father, who had been treading water for about 20 minutes, and his daughter were found by the lifeboat within 3-5 minutes. The 'Disney Dream' resumed its voyage five minutes after the operation was concluded, with the captain making a statement that two persons were rescued. The incident began at 11:15 a.m., and the pair were rescued by 11:47 a.m. LT.It remained unclear how the child fell overboard, despite the ship’s plexiglass safety barriers. The ship returned safely to Port Everglades early on June 30 , ending the cruise as planned despite the incident. Smoke has been observed at the port of Tuapse after explosions were reported overnight on Nov 29, 2024. Reports suggested that a large Russian landing ship may have been damaged. Smoke was rising from one of the berths, which is equipped with cranes for loading civilian vessels. Satellite images from SentinelHub on Nov 20 revealed a 135-meter-long vessel docked there, potentially a large landing ship, matching the class of Russian warships known as Project 11711 Ivan Gren. Currently, there is only one such ship in the Black Sea, the 'Pyotr Morgunov' from Russia's Northern Fleet.
