On the afternoon of Sep 8, the Port Authority of Argosaronicos was informed by the Master of the 'Flying Dolphin Athina' about a failure of the starboard side main engine in the port of Piraeus. The ship had a scheduled itinerary for the ports of Aegina and Agistrio with 44 passengers on board. The Port of Argosaronicos banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by themonitoring classification society. The passengers were forwarded to their destination by the care of the owner company.

On Sep 5, 2024, the 'Christiana P' was immobilized in Ramallo due to a power outage. The bulk carrier was carrying 40000 tons of sorghum and bound from the ACA Terminal in San Lorenzo to the Buenos Aires port of Quequén to load another 25000 tons barley, bound for China, and was sailing towards Puerto Quequén. Although it was initially thought to be grounded, the ship actually suffered a blackout. The ship had to emergency anchor practically in front of the Puerto Martins Shipyard.
TOG MOR
The "Tog Mor" ran aground on the beach of Villa Allende, in the port of Coatzacoalcos,, south of the state of Veracruz, due to the inclement weather caused by the passage of tropical wave 21 and cold front number 1 in the Gulf of Mexico on Sep 7, 2024. The vessel was destined for the docks of the Permaducto company, on the Coatzacoalcos River. The tugs 'Veracruz, Cordobés' and 'Corsario' left from the port of Coatzacoalcos, to try to correct the course of the "Tog Mor", but they did not succeed ahead of the grounding. Only crew members necessary for the maneuvers to refloat the barge were tol remain on board. CARNIVAL SPIRIT
The 'Carnival Spirit' collided with a small piece of ice sailing through the Tracy Arm Fjord, home to the twin Sawyer Glaciers, on a 7-night cruise in Alaska on Sep 5, 2024. The impact caused minimal damage. The crew conducted a thorough inspection to assess for any potential damage and ensure the safety of all passengers. The piece of ice, smaller than a growler or large iceberg, hit the starboard side of the vessel. After crew members had completed their inspection with a small boat, the ship was cleared to resume the sailing and continued to Skagway. The vessel arrived in Juneau on Sep 7, before heading head to Ketchikan and Victoria, British Columbia, and returning to Seattle. The 'William Inglis' had to do emergency stop after suffering mechanical issues while docking at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal in Toronto on the evening of Sep 5, 2024. The ferry drifted into the wooden slip at thel downtown terminal at around 6:15 p.m. Paramedics and Toronto police's marine unit were called to the scene but no injuries to passengers or crew were reported. An investigation is underway to determine exactly what happened, and the ferry has been removed from service.
