The ship was hit by strong winds accompanied by high waves, causing it to break lose from its mooring. The ship had on board 200 tons of cargo destined to the the Bunyu Island area, North Kalimantan.

PACIFIC GRACE
On Sep 11, 2024,, at 8:00 a.m. the fishing vessel 'QNa-95221 TS' was hit by the 'Pacific Grace', in 16.13 N 108.29 E, about 10.25 nautical miles east-northeast of Cape Son Tra. There were 8 fishermen on board the boat, who were rescued by the 'Pacific Grace' and two fishing boats from the Binh Minh commune (Thang Binh district) at 10:30 a.m. Their ship suffered significant damage and sank. The 'Pacific Grace' was en route to Hai Phong, where it arrived on Sep 12 at 7:30 a.m. The Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command directed the Cua Dai Border Guard Station (Hoi An), Binh Minh Border Guard Station (Thang Binh District) to coordinate the response. MERIDIAN QUEEN
A swift response by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has prevented a potential environmental disaster in the shallow waters of the Apo Reef Natural Park off the coast of Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, on Sep 11, 2024, after the 'Meridian Queen' had lost propulsion due to a mechanical issues with its controllable pitch propeller control with 23 people on board. It was drifting towards the protected area. The PCG’s multi-role response vessel, BRP 'Cabra (MRRV 4409)' was dispatched to assist the ship, and, in coordination with the Apo Reef Protected Area Superintendent and park rangers, ensured that the vessel was temporarily towed to a safer location, away from the shallow waters and coral reefs. The PCG had remained on-site, with the 'Cabra' on standby, until a tug arrived to safely tow the 'Meridian Queen' to a repair facility. The 'Lenaneft 2029', en route from from Tatarstan to Yaroslavl, allided with a railway bridgei on the Kostroma-Novaya - Karimovo section of the Volga at river kilometr 601 in Kostroma on the early morning of Sep 12, 2024, and got stuck underneath. There were no casualties nor oil spills as a result of the incident, Rail traffic was not disrupted. An inspection has been organized in connection with the incident on the Volga River by the Kostroma Transport Prosecutor. The Transport Prosecutor's Office will check all the circumstances, compliance with the legislation on navigation safety during the operation of water transport, and will assess the actions of the responsible persons. The wheelhouse of the tanker was crushed and deck structures were demolished. The ship of the Volga-Trans LLC from Samara was ballasting along the Samara-Yaroslavl route. It has since been pulled out under the bridge and left at anchor near the scene of the incident. TWILIGHT PZ330
On Sep 10, 2024, the 'Twilight-PZ330' caught fire while being berthed in Newlyn Harbour, Cornwall,. The fire started in the vessel’s galley and quickly got out of control. The Falmouth Coastguard was alerted and requested the RNLI lifeboat from Penlee to respond. The lifeboat arrived on scene and began firefighting efforts with multiple sea hoses. A short time later the Penzance fire brigade arrived on scene and continued the fire fighting efforts from the dock. A crew member from the 'Twilight' had escaped the fire, but had suffered smoke inhalation, requiring him to be taken to hospital. After an hour the blaze was completely extinguished.
