The 'Cancun' was boarded by four perpetrators, who were armed with guns and knives, on Feb 14, 2025, at 02.55 a.m. in pos. 1° 4.35' N 103° 41.12' E, about 2.5 nautical miles northwest of Pulau Cula , while transiting the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) of the Singapore Strait (SS). The crew members were not injured. Nothing was reported stolen.

The intruders stole electrical and engine spares and escaped. No crew members were injured.

The intruders stole engine spares and escaped. No crew members were injured.
