26 migrants rescued off Maspalomas

The 'Salvamar Macondo' has rescued 26 people of Maghrebin origin from a small boat three nautical miles off Maspalomas. On Sep 26 at 7 a.m. they arrived at Arguineguín, where the migrants were attended to by shore based services. The response was coordinated by the CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Maritimo. Onn Sep 19, a migrant boat with five occupants of Maghrebi origin was laucated 6.6 nautical miles from the Maspalomas Lighthouse. The CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo deployed the 'Salvamar Macondo', which transferred them to Arguineguín in good condition. https://x.com/salvamentogob/status/1969044683096498301

253 migrants rescued in two missions by three SAR boats

235 migrants, among them 149 males, 64 females, and 22 minors, were rescued from a cayuco 10.7 nautical miles southsouthwest of La Restinga on Sep 15. The 'Salvamar Navia', accompanied by the 'Salvamar Diphda', transported them to the port of La Restinga, where they arrived at 9:30 a.m. lLT. The weather conditions made it impossible to tow the precarious vessel. On the night of Sep 15, the 'Salvamar Macondo' also rescued 18 migrants of Maghrebi origin, among them three women and five minors, tnen nautical nautical miles southest of Maspalomas. They were transported to the port of Arguineguín.
