Almost 200 migrants assisted in three missions

On the morning of March 8, the 'Salvamar Macondo' rescued 52 people from a cayuco and disembarked them in Arguineguín. After being notified by the Guardia Civil, the 'Salvamar Acrux' and 'Salvamar Adhara' escorted two cayucos with more than 70 people each to La Restinga. On March 5, a radar echo was located 14.5 nautical miles south of Gran Canaria. The CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Macondo' ton investigate. The SAR boat located a cayuco and accompanied it to Arguineguín, where the 68 people on board, among them one woman, all of sub-Saharan origin, safely disembarked. On Feb 14, the Integrated External Surveillance System (SIVE) detected an echo nine nautical miles south of Arguineguín. The CCS Las Palmas of Salvamentoii Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Macondo' to investigated, which located a boat and rescued 64 migrants of sub-Saharan origin who are transferred to Arguineguín.
