Sailings cancelled due to extended works

Rad Funnel has cancelled more sailings due to works extended on the 'Red Falcon' on March 10. The cross-Solent ferry firm has cancelled the sailings from East Cowes at 6 a.m., 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and from Southampton at 4.30 a.m., 7.30 .a.m, 10.30 a.m., 1.30 p.m,, 4.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. The ferry company had already cancelled two vehicle ferry sailings on March 8 due to the fault and a further 12 crossings were cancelled on March 9.

Ferry suffered technical issue

The operator Red Funnel had to cancel some scheduled cross-Solent sailings of the 'Red Falcon' on the afternoon of Feb 18, 2025, due to a technical issue with the ferry. The departure at 3 p.m. from Southampton and from East Cowes at 4.30 p.m. were affected by the failure.

Ferry sufferred issue with stern doors

An issue with the stern doors on board the 'Red Falcon' has led to the cancellation of at least two sailings on the morning of Aug 15. The 11:00 a.m. sailng from Southampton has been cancelled, as has the 12:30 p.m. departure from East Cowes. It was unclear if the technical issue would lead to any further cancellations throughout the day. Delays were likely.
