Sailings cancelled due to technical issue

On May 9, the 'Loch Riddon', serving on the route Tobermory-Kilchoan, suffered a technical issue that required further investigation. As a consequence, the scheduled departures from Tobermory at 1:00 p.m. and from Kilchoan at 1:45 p.m. were cancelled. After the technical issue has been resolved, the 'Loch Riddon' could return to service with the 2:30 p.m. sailing from Tobermory.

Ferry suffered ramp issue

The 'Loch Riddon', serving on the route Tobermory - Kilchoan, suffered a technical issue affecting one of the ramps on Jan 6, 2025. As a consequence, the ship had to operate single ended until further notice. The issue has been resolved only on Jan 18, and the vessel was no longer operating normal again.

Fire in engine room

Wed Feb 05 10:00:10 CET 2020 Timsen

While the 'Loch Riddon' was en route from Portavadie to East Loch Tarbert, Scotland, a fire broke out in the engine room, whilst alongside at East Loch Tarbert in position 55 51 59.6 N, 005 24 35.0 W, on Feb 3, 2020. The Scottish fire service and Tarbert CRT arrived on scene. The fire was contained and confirmed as extinguished on scene.
