Sailings cancelled due to sewage system issues
The 'Isle of Arran', serving on the route Kennacraig-Islay, suffered a technical issue impacting the sewage system on July 28, As a consequence, the scheduled departures from Kennacraig at 10:00 a.m. and03:30 p.m. and from Port Ellen at 12:45 p.m. and 06:00 p.m. have been cancelled to carry out repairs. Due to the ongoing issue with the sewage system, more sailings had to be cancelled on July 29: Departure Port Askaig – 07:00 a.m.; Departure Kennacraig – 10:00 a.m.; Departure Port Ellen – 12:45 p.m. The ferry 'Finlaggan' continued as a replacement ship and operated the following sailings: Departure Kennacraig – 07:00 a.m. Departure Port Ellen – 09:45 a.m. After the 'Isle of Arran’s sewage system was repaired. the ferry resumed service on Juily 29 at 1:00 p.m., departing from the port of Kennacraig.
Ferry suffered technical issue of firefighting system
The 'Isle of Arran', serving on the route Ardrossan -Brodick, suffered a technical issue affecting the firefighting system which required the attendance of contractors on July 20. As a consequence, all sailings were liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. The scheduled departures from Ardrossan at 09:45 a.m. and from Brodick at 11:05 a.m. were cancelled, and the ferry remained sidelined in Ardrossan. She finally returned to service on the morning July 21. However, the passenger capacity had the be reduced until a full repair can be carried out. As a result, the space was limited, and customers were advised to book in advance. As of July 22, the passenger numbers were back to capacity, and the ferry was also able to take on board dangerous goods vehicles However, the following shuttle buses remained in place to take passengers to and from Ardrossan: Departure Ardrossan: 12:20 p.m., 5:30 p.m. Departure Troon: 11:10 a.m., 4:45 p.m., 9:40 p.m.
Water ingress in cafeteria
Due to a technical issue with water ingress in the Mariners cafeteria aboard the 'Isle of Arran', serving on the route Kennacraig-Port Askaig-Port Ellen, on June 24, there was no hot food service or seating available in this area until further notice.
