Engine overheated

Mon Mar 09 10:47:36 CET 2020 Timsen

The 'Green Bay', which was en route from Southampton, UK,to Halifax with 20 crew members on board suffered an overheating in its engines in position 49 58 43 N, 003 02 28 W, on March 8, 2020, at 7 a.m. Subsequently, the engines were switched off to investigate. The vessel was carrying 3791 vehicles and various construction equipment. The fault was found to be an electrical sensor. The sensor was replaced and temperature readings returned to normal. The engines were tested and the vessel was underway again at 7.20 a.m. with an ETA as of March 15.
