Wastewater discharged into the sea without disinfection

Tue Dec 23 14:47:24 CET 2014 Timsen

On Dec 21, 2014 the water police Stralsund carried out a control aboard the "Paramar" and remarked that the wastewater treatment plant was operated without the required disinfection. The container with disinfectant was already dry and decayed, and it was proved that wastewater was discharged into the Baltic Sea. According to initial information "Gamazyme BTC" was used as a disinfectant. In the examination it was determined that since Dec 8 the chlorine was not checked or refilled. The Stralsund prosecutor ordered a security deposit of 800 Euro.

Vessel overloaded

Tue Dec 06 18:28:10 CET 2011 Timsen

On Dec 5, 2011, at 9.30 p.m. the police Brunsbüttel during a control in the northern small lock of the Kiel Canal locks in Brunsbuettel remarked that the draught of the "Paramar" was more than allowed. The ship was overloaded by around 50 tons. The draught was reduced by pumping ballast water off. The Russian captain had to pay a safety fine of 700 Euro before the ship was allowed to proceed to Brake.
