Ferry suffered engine issues
The 'Ali Cat' was sent to Greenock for repairs on July 16, after having been taken out of service due to issues with the port side main engine.The sailing from Gourock at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. and from Dunoon at 4.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. cancelled. These were swiftly resolved, and the ferry returned back to the service on the route Gourock-Dunoon at 6.15 p.m. from the port of Gourock.
Ferry suffered technical issue
'he 'Ali Cat', sailing on the route Gourock - Kilcreggan, suffered a technical issue with its gangway on Feb 11, 2025, and was sidelined in Gourock for investigations and repairs. As a consequence, the service had to be suspended for the time being by the operator CalMac. A review was expected at approximately 09:00 a,m. LT.
Ferry suffered mechanical problem
The 'Ali Cat' suffered a technical issue on July 22, 2021. The srvicce had to be suspended. A shuttle bus service was operating from from Gourock to McInroy's Point (Western Ferries) and from Dunoon to Hunter's Quay. The issue was resolved, and the ship resumed its service at 09.20a.m. from Gourock and at 09.50 a.m. from Dunoon.
