79 migrants assisted to La Restinga
On March 11, a precarious boat with 79 migrants of sub-Saharan origin on board, was located nine nautical miles south of La Restinga. The CCS Tenerie of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Adhara' to assist, which escorted it to the port of La Restinga., where the migrants disembarked in good condition. Almost 200 migrants assisted in three missions
On the morning of March 8, the 'Salvamar Macondo' rescued 52 people from a cayuco and disembarked them in Arguineguín. After being notified by the Guardia Civil, the 'Salvamar Acrux' and 'Salvamar Adhara' escorted two cayucos with more than 70 people each to La Restinga. 105 migrants assisted to La Restinga
On the early morning of March 5, two cayucos were escorted to La Restinga. The 'Salvamar Acrux' accompanied a cayuco, which was located seven nautical miles south of La Restinga with 61 sub-Saharan people on board, among them 13 women. They disembarked at 4.30 a.m. local time. At 5.10 a.m., the 'Salvamar Adhara' disembarked the occupants of another cayuco in in La Restinga . The boat had been located 8.7 nautical miles away with 44 sub-Saharan people on board, among them four women and three minors. The responses were coordinated by the CCS Tenerife of Salvamento Maritimo.
