Biggest ship ever to visit Hampton Roads

The MSC Bruxelles, a 1,105-foot-long monster of a vessel, arrived in Hampton Roads on Monday evening. Crews were scheduled to start working it at APM Terminals Virginia in Portsmouth. The Bruxelles can carry 9,200 standard 20-foot cargo containers. The previous biggest container ship to visit the port was the CMA CGM Figaro, which can carry as many as 8,500 units.
