Engine failure off Crete
On April 3, 2020, the 'YM Mercury' suffered an engine failure in the Mediterranean Sea south of Crete, while en route from Alexandria to Augusta. The tug 'Mentoras' (IMO: 9061722) was deployed to tow the tanker to Tuzla. The towage commenced the same day. On April 8 the ships reached the southern coast of Kos island, where the tanker was anchored.
