Grounding off Inverscaddle Bay

The 'Wilson Nantes', carrying 4400 tonnes of wood chips, ran aground in extreme tides on a sand sea basin in position 56 50 24 N, 005 07 54 W, on March 30, 2021, at 2.37 p.m. The tug 'Voe Earl' was contracted to provide assistance and tow the vessel to Inverscaddle Bay, which was five miles from the grounding site. In port a full diver inspection of the hull was to be carried out. The convoy arrived in Inverscaddle Bay anchorage at 5.50 p.m.
