25 Ghanaians forged papers to join the "Pasadena"

Mon Feb 18 09:48:20 CET 2013 Timsen

The German Federal Sea Police has prevented the unauthorized entry of 25 men from Ghana, who had been posing as sailors and applied for visa at the German Embassy in Accra, because they allegedly wanted to hire aboard the "Pasadena" in Hamburg. A routine check by the Police showed that the freighter was currently in Piombino in Italy, with a full crew of ten. The papers that the Ghanaian men had submitted at the embassy were forged. They were arrested in Accra by the Ghana Police for forgery.
