Ferry sidelined due to technical failure
The "Westfalen" suffered a technical failure on Oct 8, 2016, and had to be taken out of the sevice to Borkum. The ship was sidelined in the inner port of Emden for repairs, and at least the following eight sailings had to be cancelled accordingly.
Helgoland in collision off Helgoland
On Aug 26, 2011, the "Helgoland" was in collision with the "Funny Girl" at Helgoland anchorage due to severe weather. After the incident the "Funny Girl" ran aground off the dune. Damage caused by the collision was only slight. The "Helgoland" headed for Wilhelmshaven, ETA 9 p.m.
Trip to Helgoland cancelled
On July 21, 2011, the "Helgoland" had to cancel its trip from Bremerhaven to Helgoland due to a damage to one of its generators and berthed at Wilhelmshaven. The damage was repaired on July 22, however, the ship could not resume its trips due to ongoing bad weather.
