Medevac in Weymouth Bay

Tue Nov 17 16:51:36 CET 2015 Timsen

The RNLI-lifeboat from Weymouth has been launched to help a man who suffered a chest injury on the "Scot Venture" which was at anchor in Weymouth Bay on Nov 17, 2015. While it was not an emergency as the injuries were not deemed very serious, it was felt the man needed medical attention onshore. Due to the deteriorating weather conditions and the fact the ship only has an open RIB, it was decided to call in the all-weather lifeboat to evacuate the crewmember.
