The "Amrum Trader" was collision in 60.01.0 N 029.32.9 E in the Gulf of Finland, on March 13, 2010. On its way from St. Peterbrug to Rotterdam the boxship collided with the boxship "Alexander B" (IMO: 9328649) while proceeding in an ice channel, in a position of pilots’ disembarking. The "Amrum Trader" suffered a hole in a bow above the waterline, the "Alexander B" was damaged aft. Both vessels were directed by the master of St. Petersburg Port to anchor at No. 4 anchorage for inspection and repairs. The collision happened in strong NE winds and heavy ice.
