Vessel refloated

Tugs attended to general cargo Volgo-Don 5011 , at the incident scene in order to provide further assistance. The vessel was re-floated on same day (July 6) late night and was shifted to the first convenient place in order to carry out further inspection. As a result of the further inspection, the vessel was free from structural damage, leaks and pollution due to the incident. The departure permission was granted from the Harbour Master in order to continue its voyage without further event.

Ran aground on River Don

General cargo Volgo-Don 5011 (3994 gt, built 1969), en route to the Port of Kavkaz with a cargo of wheat ran aground on the River Don, in the Rostov region at 1400 hrs, on July 6. According to reports, the vessel has no structural damage and the channel remains open to ship traffic. As soon as the cargo ship is re-floated by two tugs which are en route to the scene, the vessel will be able to continue its passage.

Allision in Kavkaz

The "Volgo Don 5011", sailing in ballast, allided with berth 24 in Kavkaz port in the morning of June 16, 2016. while docking. The vessel suffered three breaches of 5х100 and 5х8 centimeters, two of them below waterline. The holes were patched.
