Jan De Nul completes installation of 50 wind turbines for Bligh Bank II
On 3 April 2017 Jan De Nul Group successfully installed the 50th and final wind turbine of the Nobelwind offshore wind farm from the Heavy Lift Vessel VOLE AU VENT, the company said in its press release The 165MW offshore wind farm, owned by Parkwind, is situated some 45 kilometres off the coast of Ostend and will provide green energy to 186,000 households. The Heavy Lift Jack-up Vessel VOLE AU VENT will now be mobilised to work on the offshore wind park Tahkoluoto in Finland.
Jan De Nul Group to supply installation vessel to install turbines for Blyth Offshore Wind Demonstration Project
Near to the port of Blyth in Northumberland in the UK, an offshore wind farm will be developed by EDF Energy Renewables. MHI Vestas have been asked to deliver five of the largest wind turbines ever manufactured in the world (V164-8.0 MW) turbines, and these will be installed using the by Jan De Nul Group Installation Vessel. the vessel VOLE AU VENT will be mobilized to execute the turbine installation. It will be installed in water depths up to 45 m approximately 5.7 km off the coast of Blyth, north of Newcastle in the UK. The installation is expected in Q3 2017.
