Engineer injured during repair works
The Port Authority of Syros was informed in the afternoon of Jan 16, 2021, about the injury of the 38-year-old second engineer of the 'Vigorous' which was docked at a shipyard in Ermoupolis for repair and maintenance works. He was transported by EKAB ambulance to the General Hospital of Syros and then taken to the University General Hospital "Attikon" for further medical treatment. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Port Authority of Syros.

A federal judge in Oregon has ordered the 51.000 metric tonnes of wheat aboard the "Vigorous" to be seized in the frame of a wide-ranging legal dispute at a hearing on Jan 23, 2019, in Portland. The charterer of the detained Gourdomichalis brothers ship had requested seize the more than 51000 metric tonnes cargo aboard the bulkcarrier which was detained on Dec 5, 2018, by Pacific Gulf Shipping at the Port Authority General Cargo Terminal in Longview.
