Ferry crew saved trawler man
One person was rescued early in the morning of Feb 13, 2013, after falling into the sea from the "Vesttind" in Melbu, Vesterålen. The police was notified of the incident shortly after 6 a.m. AMK in Bodø, which had been notified by the crew of the ferry "Melbu". People aboard the ferry had heard cries for help. They found the man on a rock under the pier and got him on board. His body temperature was only 30 degrees. The hospital said that the man was doing well taking in mind the circumstances. The reason why he fell in the water was unclear.
