139 migrants rescued in three missions

Sun Oct 16 23:53:59 CEST 2022 Timsen

In the night of Oct 13, 2022 as well as during the day of Oct 14, the CROSS Gris-Nez identified several boats in difficulty off Pas-de-Calais. The CROSS deployed the PSP 'Pluvier' twice, the first time in the middle of the night in the Oye Plage sector to rescue a boat in difficulty with 47 people, who were recovered on board. The 'Pluvier' was then tasked to assist a second boat in difficulty with 47 people off Dunkirk. Once picked up, all the castaways were dropped off at the port of Calais. The tugs 'VB Adroit' and 'VB Cyclone' were deployed from the port of Dunkirk on Oct 14 to rescue a boat in difficulty off Zuydcoote. The 45 castaways are recovered on board the 'VB Cyclone' and then dropped off at the port of Dunkirk.
