VB WILHELMSHAVEN 9183403

Wed Jan 12 10:02:26 CET 2011 Timsen

The "Wilhelmshaven" was in collision with the launch "Maker IV" of the Jade-Service in the morning of Jan 10. The two of crew of the 7-m-boat was rescued after the tug hit it in the stern causing it to capsize. They managed to escape from the wheelhouse abd were saved by colleagues of the "Maker VI". The "Wilhelmshaven“ took the two aboard, supplied them with dry clothes and towed their sinking vessel to the Ineos-jetty where the "Maker IV" finally sank. The three ships had jointly moored the tank m/v "Isabella Kosan“ at the Ineos-jetty before the accident. While the two "Maker"-boats were heading to port, the „Wilhelmshaven“ dropped the pilot on the Ineos-jetty and moved towards the harbour entrance 4, thereby running into the "Maker IV". In the run of the day the wreck of the "Maker IV" was raised by the "Transporter II".
