Boom trawler towed to Eemshaven

In the morning of May 13, 2019, the "Dina UQ 6", 32 gt, suffered engine trouble in the wadden sea above Noordpolderzijl. The skipper asked the Dutch Coastguard for assistance which in turn alerted the ‘Jan and Titia Visser’ of the KNRM station Eemshaven. Because the tide was dropping, it was decided not to sail out but wait for the next high tide. In the late afternoon the lifeboat sailed and reached the "Dina" which was taken in tow to Eemshaven. Here was a generous berth for the cutter kept clear. The mooring manoever was difficult as due to the engine failure the boom trawler could not recover its nets. The German colleagues from Borkum came to the Eemshaven to assist with the "Glückauf", the daughter boat of the lifeboat "Alfried Krupp", when mooring the vessel at 8.30 p.m. Dutch report with photos: https://www.knrm.nl/nieuws/knrm-reddingstation-eemshaven/viskotter-met-motorproblemen
