Ferry service cancelled due to technical problems

On the morning of Aug 22, 2025, the "Ullensvang",serving on the C route between Solavågen - Festøya, had to cancel its sailings due to technical problems. The operator Norled started repairs and hoped that the ferry would be able to return to the route from the morning of Aug 27. The ship was back in normal operation with a departure from Solavågen on Aug 27 at 06.10.

Two Norled employees diagnosed with corona virus

Two Norled employees have been diagnosed with the corona virus, the company stated in a press release in the night of Oct 28, 2020. One of them was on board the 'Ullensvang', which was sailing between Mannheller - Fodnes on Oct 26. The other was a crew member o the 'Hjelmeland' which operates the connection Hjelmeland-Nesvik-Skipavik.

Stuck trailer damaged ferry deck

On Nov 6, 2018, a trailer was stuck in the cargo deck of the "Ullensvang" in the afternoon. The trailer with steel construction on the pallet has damaged the deck above. The roof tiles were damaged so that the car deck could not be used. The ferry was sailing with a reduced capacity in the the evening due to damage to the roof deck with its losened plates. Big cars had to take one of the other ferries. At 7 p.m. the ferry was taken out of service for repairs. The crew aimed to be in normal operation on Nov 7.
