Firefighters patched crack in sail
The fire department of Ueckermuende was called out on May 23, 2025, at the start of the Haff-Sail in Ueckermünde, after the 'Ucra' had returned to the city port on the first evening of a three-day festival with a large crack in its sail. After the replica of a medieval Hanseatic ship had docked, firefighters attended with a turntable ladder. The approximately 50-centimeter-long hole could be quickly patched, and the 'Ucra' was back in service on May 24 and completed two trips across the lagoon as planned.
