Ship run aground to prevent it from sinking
On July 20, 2025, at around 5 p.m. the 'Trollbas', en route from Torangsvag with two crew members on board, suffered water ingress and was run aground at Austevoll off Bergen. The NSSR-lifeboat "Bjarne Kyrkjebø" received a MayDay cakk on channel 16 and was subsequenty mobilized to assist by the HRS South Norway. The crew was safely taken off.
