Container lost in allision on Merwede

In the evening of Oct 5, 2015, at 8.45 p.m. the "Tripoli" enroute from Rotterdam to Duisburg lost a container lost in an allision with the Merwede bridge between Dordrecht and Papendrecht. The ship had sailed from Zeebrugge at 7 p.m. with empty boxes stored on deck. One was damaged, one lost over board and sank on the Lower Merwede. It was located in a water depth of nine meters and salvaged on Oct 6 at 1 a.m. by divers of Hebo Maritime. The traffic on the bridge and the N3 shut down for some time. The ship traffic was obstructed for some time too.
