Engine trouble off Skerries

The 'Romi', enroute from Antwerp with six crew members and a cargo of 3.949 tonnes of expanded clay on board, suffered a broken oil pipe to the engine on March 9, 2020, at 02.15 a.m. in position 53 28 N, 004 37 W. The vessel exited the East-bound lane of the Skerries TSS, and the repairs were completed at 5.20 a.m. Around 10 p.m. the ship moored in pos. 53° 28.35' N 003° 25.46' W off Liverpool before entering Ellesmere Port. on March 10 at 3.40 p.m.

Disabled freighter pulled to Le Havre

The "Romi", en route from Drammen to Barreiro with a crew of six on board, suffered a coolant leak in the engine power head 25 miles south of Durlstone Head in position 50 13 09 N, 002 05 04 W on May 31, 2019, at 7 a.m. At 2.50 p.m. the captain reported the crew could not fix the issue and intended to contact the owners about routing to Le Havre. At 9 p.m. the British tug "MTS Indus" (IMO: 8884830) was deployed to pull the ship to Le Havre and took it in tow in Southwest winds of 11 knots with slight sea state at a speed of about 4,5 knots. The ETA at Le Havre was June 1, 10 p.m. The vessel sailed again from Le Havre on June 4 and arrived at Setubal on June 12, via Lisbon, and Barreiro. The vessel was currently bound for Ghent, ETA June 19.
