Gunvor Trading House has sued Torm and Valero
Gunvor Trading House has sued Torm and Valero for the supply of 300,000 barrels of naphtha that did not meet the specifications. The deal caused a loss for Gunvor of $ 1.65 million which the trading house was now trying to collect from Torm and Valero. The naphtha was loaded on board the "Torm Thunder" in September 2018, but when the cargo arrived at its destination, according to the lawsuit filed with a Texas court, it did not meet the specifications. According to the lawsuit, Valero delivered bad naphtha, to which the "Torm Thunder" according to Gunvor, was not sufficiently prepared to receive.
