Tanker saved 222 distressed migrants

Tue Jun 23 10:48:09 CEST 2015 Timsen

The "Torm Arawa" saved 222 refugees in the Mediterranean sea off Libya's Coast on June 21, 2015, after Italian authorities contacted the Danish shipping company Torm and asked for assistance. The ship arrived off Zawiya in the morning, and after a few hours the crew had taken on board the migrants from two boats. They were then taken to Reggio Calabria.

Torm sells Torm Arawa and three other tankers to Creditor Oaktree

Sat Nov 30 23:05:54 CET 2013 arnekiel

TORM A/S says it will sell four MR product tankers to entities controlled by one of its banks, Oaktree Capital Management (Oaktree) under terms set by its restructuring agreement. Oaktree will place the vessels, the TORM Alexandra, TORM Agnete, TORM Arawa, and TORM Anabel, plus two additional vessels, under TORM's commercial management in a revenue-sharing plan.
