Water ingress in Wesel
On June 13, 2018, at 5.45 a.m. the 63 year old master of the "Tokaj 3", 1933 ts (EU-No.: 04601000), remarked a water ingress into his ships during loading operations in the port of Wesel upon the Rhine. It had reached a height of 40 centimeters when he alerted the rescue services and broke off taking on cargo. The water ingress could be controlled with the ship's own bilge pumps. The cause of the leakage was so far unknown. The ship was detained, the ship traffic in the port and on the river was not affected.
