Deawoo Mangalia delivers CSAV TOCONAO (8,600 teu)

Tue Jul 02 11:16:49 CEST 2013 linervision

Daewoo-Mangalia Heavy Industries (DMHI) at Mangalia on the Black Sea, the Romanian subsidiary of South Korea’s DSME Shipyard, has delivered the 8,600 teu container vessel CSAV TOCONAO to the London-based non-operating owner Zodiac Maritime. The vessel is the first of four sister ships that Zodiac ordered in April 2011 for long-term charters to CSAV. It is also the first-ever compact wide beam ship of the increasingly popular 300m x 48m ‘class’ delivered by a yard of the Daewoo group. The ship was reportedly slated for delivery in March, but it appears that the entire series of vessels has been deferred by several months because of the lasting overcapacity situation in the global liner trade. http://linervision.wordpress.com/2013/07/02/deawoo-mangalia-delivers-csav-toconao-8600-teu/
