Tanker suffered blackout on the Scheldt
On April 10, 2025, at around 2.30 a.m. UTC the 'Thun Resource', en route from Nynäshamn to Antwerp, suffered an engine black out on the Scheldt near Terneuzen (Lat. 51.3606 Lng. 3.7585), and went NUC. The tugs 'VB Lieven Gevaert' (IMO: 9120140) and 'VB Pearl' (IMO: 9314272) offered their assistance short time later, which was accepted. The tugs then connected to the tanker and towed it as a "dead ship" towards Antwerp. Later the 'VB Shark' (IMO: 9410715) joined the ship to pull along as a second forward tug.
