Engine control failure
The 'Teleost' suffered an engine control failure while approaching the dock of the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Halifax on March 7, 2021. The vessel anchored, and its crew stopped the engine to carry out repairs before it finally berthed.
Medevac off Gander
A crew member from the "Teleost" was airlifted from a vessel off Newfoundland's coast to hospital in Gander. The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax dispatched a Cormorant crew from 103 Squadron in Gander and a military plane from 413 Squadron in Nova Scotia shortly before 6 p.m. on Dec 1, 2015. The "Teleost" was located 278 kilometres off the coastline, and there were some delays in the rescue due to adverse weather conditions. The 53-year-old man was safely hoisted and transported to hospital in Gander in the early morning of Dec 2.
