Soild to Svenska Orient Linien AB

The Svenska Orient Linien AB (SOL) took over the "Transpulp“, "Transtimber“ and "Transpaper“/"Tavastland" from Stora Enso. They weill continue to carry 1,2 million tons paper p.a. from the paper mills Kemi and Oulu.

Collision on the Trave

On June 12, 2015, the "Lisa von Lübeck" was in collision with the "Transpaper" when leaving the port around 1 p.m. on the Trave. The bowsprit of the ship was broken off, also the ferry which was coming from Oulu suffered damage. The cog berthed in the Hansa Port around 6 p.m. The accident was caused by a navigational error of he sailing ship. The "Transpaper" berthed in the Vorwerk Port short time later and left again short before midnight on the return trip to Oulu. TransAtlantic gets new name and new CEO

Stockholm: Swedish shipowner Rederi AB TransAtlantic has changed its name this week to Viking Supply Ships, and also appointed Christian W. Berg as ceo of the company with immediate effect. Viking Supply Ships will continue to have two business areas as before, shipping and logistics under the TransAtlantic name and offshore/icebreaking services under Viking Supply Ships.
