Drunk russian captain taken into jail for 3 weeks

A 51-year-old Russian captain had 2.38 per thousand when he Monday evening sailed cargo ship Symphony into the breakwater and quay in Assens. The Russian is in custody for three weeks. On Monday evening (Dec. 29) cameSymphony hit some of the breakwater and some of the quay. And on Tuesday afternoon, after police and naval architects had taken a tour of the port manager Ole Knudsen to observe the damage, sounded assessment from the port office immediately that estimated damage had been for between 3 to 400,000 kroner. The amount could even rise if it also turns out that the wooden structure below the water surface has been damaged. Symphony survyed in Søby

The "Symphony" was enroute Assens west of Ærø to Marstal, for drydocking at Søndre but due to a lack of water depth in the fairway turned around and headed west, and actually the ship has berthed at the yard in Søby in the run of Feb 14.
