Allision with floating Bed & Breakfast

On June 7, 2017, at 8.30 a.m. the "Servus", 4297 ts (EU-No.: 02332610;), coming from Rotterdam, allided with the accomodation ship "Sealiberty" during mooring manoevers in the Rhine port at the Westervoorste dike in Arnheim. The tank barge was caught by wind gusts and slammed into the floating Bed & Breakfast several times. The owners, Pol's Marloes and Jeroen Spaander, were shocked, but uninjured, while the hull of the "Sealiberty" was dented, and it suffered water ingress. The damage was estimated to be around 20.000 to 25.000 Euro.
