Hearing to be held to find solution for recovering of repair costs
The damage caused to a jetty of Dow Terneuzen by the "Stolt Florence" on Jan 14, 2014, was so severe that the tanker owner's insurance does not cover all the costs to repair it. The water police spoke of a clumsy maneuver, but there was no offense to any party involved. But the costs which may be some million Euro could not be covered on the basis of the liability of the owner of the barge. It is common that in such cases a fund is formed which all involved parties On May 15 a hearing will be held in this regard at the court in Rotterdam.
