Bulkcarrier dragged anchor
The 'Split' which was moored on the outer anchorage of Shanghai in Ythe angtze estuary dragged its anchor and requested assistance in the morning of Nov 12, 2019. The ship, loaded with with 41.000 tons of steel, was at anchor since Nov 2. The MRCC Shanghai sent the salvage ship 'Dong Hai Jiu 118' which took the drifting ship in tow in challenging conditions with strong northern winds and rough seas. The ship was towed to safer waters and moored at the Luhuashan Anchorage in the evening in pos. 30° 47.21' N 122° 36.01' E.
