Sailor injured in work accident

The Central Port Authority of Mytilene was informed on July 7, 2021, at noon, about the injury of a crew member of the 'Sirios Cement VI' which had arrived at the berth of the port of Mytilene. The sailor had slipped on the deck of the and suffered injuries. He was picked up by an ambulance of EKAB and transported to the General Hospital of Mytilene. He had suffered a fracture. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Central Port Authority of Mytilene.

Allision in Rhodes

The "Sirios Cement VI" allided with a pier and suffered abrasions to the port side hull above the waterline in the morning of April 22, 2019, upon its arrival at the port of Rhodes. The Central Port Authority of Rhodes conducted a preliminary investigation and detained the vessel in port until the hull damage was repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness was issued. The vessel was released after repairs and left the port again on April 24 at 8.40 a.m. bound to Mytilini via Patmos where it arrived on April 25 at 8 p.m.
