Disabled trawler towed to Hirtshals
On the evening of May 1, 2025, the lifeboat of the Hirtshals Rescue Station assisted during the towing of the Silver Bird S 449', which earlier in the day had got its fishing gear stuck in the propeller and therefore needed assistance to get into port. Since the lifeboat 'Margrethe Gaardbo' is currently in the shipyard, the colleagues from Skagen Rescue Station stepped in. With the lifeboat 'Lars Kruse' they took over the towing, after having left Skagen already at 11 a.m. When the 'Lars Kruse' and the 'Silver Bird'approached Hirtshals Harbour, the 'FRB 14' got a line over the stern of the trawler and assisted in towing the last stretch safely to the quay.
