Ship adrift following power loss

Wed Jul 30 09:32:58 CEST 2014 Timsen

On July 29, 2014, the "Siebnerin" suffered engine damage on the Danube and drifted downstream at 11.30 a.m. The launch "WSP 14" of the water police Deggendorf was able to secure the ship at the Isar confluence and pulled it to a pier at Deggendorf. The ship had on board eight passengers and a crew of three at the time of the accident. It was found out that a malfunction of an alternator had caused the power loss. The ship was expected to resume its service on July 30.
