Medevac off Rotterdam
Two Filipino sailors aboard the "Shamrock Jupiter" were medevaced by the KNRM with eye injuries and sent to hospital on Sep 23, 2014, at 5.40 a.m. The vessel was at anchor in anchorage area 4 off Rotterdam in position 51°.56.50 N 003°67.77 E. The patients were disembarked with the pilot ladder aboard the lifeboat "Jeanine Parqui". The men reported that water of 70 degrees had been pushed under high pressure into their faces. One patient was seriously injured and required immediate treatment. Upon arrival ashore at 07.30 a.m., the men were transported to hospital.
