Collision in ice convoy

The cargo m/v "Sormovskiy 3060" was collision with the "Sankt Peterburg" on Jan 30, 2019, at 4.15 a.m. enroute to the Port of St. Petersburg. The accident happend in an ice convoy in position lat 60.08.8 N, 027.43.5 E, in the Gulf of Finland. The "Sormovskiy 3060" suffered a hole of 20x20 centimetres five metres above the waterline. After its arrival at St. Petersburg at 7.40 p.m. the vessel was docked at the Kanonerskiy Ship Repair Yard. The icebreaker continued its ice duties.

Fender on fire

Thu Aug 02 10:19:39 CEST 2018 Timsen

An outboard fender of the "Sankt Petersburg" caught fire on July 31, 2018, at 10.30 a.m. The icebreaker was moored at Berth 89 in the port of St. Petersburg. By 11.50 a.m. the fire was extinguished with the help of three tugs. No damages were reported except those to the fender.
