Pleasure boat with six people on board prevented from grounding

On Sep 6 the pleasure boat 'Emma' with six people on board, among them one1 baby, which was located near Torrenova in the Bay of Palma, requested towing assistance and indicates that it was drifting owards the rocks. The CCS Palma of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Libertas' and a civil protection boat, which was in the Lima Uno area, and after a towing connection was established, the boat could be pulled to safety.

Assistance fior sinking motor yacht

On Aug 10, the harbour master of Port Adriano informed the MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Palma that the motor yacht 'Best Brands'Ä was is sinking off Camp de Mar. A boat, which was in the area, rescued the five crew members and took them to port. The 'Salvamar Libertas' attended and reported that the yacht wass half-sunken with the saloon being completely flooded and no possibility of bailing out. Fishing boat towed to Palma

On July 16, 2024, the fishing boat 'Picaseu' reported to the Radiocostera Palma that it had water ingress. Controllers from the MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Palma located the 'Salvamar Libertas' which was 10 sailing minutes away. After arriving on scene short time later, , its crew provided a bilge pump. With the water ingress under control, the SAR boat towed the casualty to the port of Palma de Mallorca.
